GYVI GALI is the only organization in Lithuania that strives to make tasty, animal-friendly, sustainable and healthy plant-based food accessible to everyone. We see this process in a complex way, and we strive for change by carrying out our activities in three main directions: educating the public, cooperating with businesses and promoting changes at the institutional level. The closely related and mutually complementary lines of activity allow us to work efficiently and form solid and long-term foundations of plant movement.

One of the most communal ways to contribute to public education activities is to help administer an organization's campaign NORI GALI Facebook group of participants.

Over the past two years, more than 15,000 people have registered for the 22-day NORI GALI plant-based nutrition challenge. participants. The free program enrolls participants through daily newsletters and an active plant-based discovery group, where they are fully exposed to carefully selected and trusted plant-based nutrition information.

One of the most important meeting and knowledge exchange spaces for campaign participants is the NORI GALI plant discovery group.

Responsibilities of the volunteer

A team of volunteers will monitor the group's activity, ensure that posts and comments are communicated respectfully, and that the content of posts complies with the group's rules. Also, volunteers will have to get involved in discussions, answering the questions raised by the participants and publishing posts themselves (before the renewed campaign starts, we will discuss and divide the topics).

What skills and qualities are we looking for?

We are looking for volunteers who are responsible, respectful and open to new information, who are interested in the topics of cooking and are personally familiar with plant-based nutrition and therefore able to provide comprehensive answers to various questions that arise for program participants. Candidates should also be able to use the social networking platform Facebook.

We will give preference to candidates interested in long-term volunteering.

How long will volunteering take?

Although we invite you to register for the WANT TO CAN plant-based challenge all year round, the program usually receives the most interest from participants in January, when other plant-based nutrition campaigns are organized around the world. Veganuary initiatives.

At the end of December and throughout January, we are looking for volunteers to join us every Monday from 5:30-6:00 p.m. ongoing team calls (volunteering takes place remotely). Later, team meetings will be organized less often (by mutual decision, as needed).

After the start of the campaign, volunteers will have to devote at least half an hour a day to active involvement in the group. This time can be scheduled at any convenient time of the day. Volunteers will be expected to commit to a minimum of 1.5 hours per week as the campaign progresses (February to November).
